Box Girls by JoRuu

Welcome to Box Girls...the best historical mystery of the year!

At Box Girls by JoRuu we know your free time and leisure activities are important. I recommend that you read this new mystery book.  It is a great book to read when you have a few moments of leisure to yourself. The book is full of boomerangs. You just will not be able to guess what the characters will do next.  Also get to know the author, JoRuu.

This is the story of two sisters, Consuelo and Sofia. They are two feisty old ladies that find joy in life by solving the many mysteries that surround their lives. Their father and mother were OSS operatives during WW2 involved in the biggest assignment of their lives. They were to rid the world of the monster that was terrorizing the world at that time. As it turns out, their father would be the biggest mystery of all. He was the grandson of Tsar Nicholas. A fact that few people would know.  Their father spoke six languages fluently. They were to find out after his death that he was able to infiltrate the Russian and German army while working for the U.S.  His greatest gift while working as an OSS operative was that he could assume an identity like you put on a coat.  He was THE master. Justice is what he wanted.  Watching the death of his father at a tender age made him want to right the wrongs of the world.

His daughters, Consuelo and Sofia were his greatest gifts.  Eventually he would leave the spy business behind to have a normal life with his wife and children.   Ignacio would marry his OSS partner from Germany.  Thus began a 70 year partnership.....the partnership of marriage.

His daughters would eventually learn that they inherited their father's many amazing abilities.  In their old age they owned a private detective agency.  Solving the mysteries that came their way filled them happiness.  They had something special to do in their old age. They were the nemesis of many a bad guy.  This legacy was also passed on to their grand-children.  They too had the same special abilities that their grand-father had.  So much of what we are is inherited.

This book is not only entertaining but it is funny, poignant, moving, suspenseful and full of surprises.  It is like a boomerang that will come back and hit you in the head.  Surprise!

Book reviews from people who have enjoyed the book:

1.There were many interesting pathways and directions in this book.  The plot was not obvious, but it was interesting figuring  out the plot. Consuelo and Sofia were surrounded by mysteries and adventures.  I will read the book a second time.  It's like watching a good movie.  You watch it the first time for enjoyment and entertainment.  You watch it the second time to pick up bits and pieces you might have missed. My favorite chapter was dealing with the Lebensborn Program. This was a breeding program developed to produce babies for the Third Reich.  This was part of Hitler's plan to produce the'master race.'  This is an interesting book and will be read by many avid readers.  Enjoy!    V.H.

2.Wonderful book! I read 4 books on average a week and this book its the best one I've read this year! I love this book! I was entranced by the twists and turns. You will not guess the plot of the book easily like those other cookie cutter books. This will make a great gift for the avid reader in your family! GREAT READ!!!!!    T.R.

3. I thought it was fun and entertaining. I like your art work on the cover. L.A

4.I'm not sure if it's a guy book, but I keep thinking Magnus is going to spring into action and use some "special-ops" training or something. Very cool.  C.R.

5.Comments: It was a very good read with many twists and turns. The characters immediately endeared themselves to me, and I enjoyed the dialog between the two sisters. I thought I had them figured early on, but boy was I wrong!

I read your "Box Sisters" book and found it very, very good. It was an easy read and I liked your repetition of important points placed in strategic parts of the book. That helped me to keep on track with all the details.

Good job and looking forward to reading your next book. L.B.
